Kicking Off the 28th Annual New Toys for Needy Kids Toy Drive
On November 14, we gathered at the Columbus Conference Center for a heartwarming event to kick off the 28th Annual New Toys for Needy Kids Toy Drive. This cherished initiative has become a cornerstone of our Council’s commitment to bringing joy to children and families in need during the holiday season, and throughout the years.
The event was made even more special by the incredible support from our volunteers and community. Local politicians, the Waterloo Region Police Service, the Waterloo Region Fire Department, the KW Siskins, the KW Titans, and numerous other organizations and supporters joined us to celebrate the start of another impactful toy drive. Their presence reflects the shared dedication of our community to ensuring every child experiences the magic of Christmas.
As we mark 28 years of this meaningful tradition, we extend our deepest gratitude to our tireless volunteers. Your hard work and generosity make this drive possible year after year. From organizing toy collections to distributing them to families, your efforts bring smiles and hope to so many. We particularly want to acknowledge the volunteers through the years that have come before us. We would not be here today without you.
Thank you to everyone who attended the kickoff and those who continue to support the Toy Drive. Let’s keep the momentum going and make this year’s drive another unforgettable success!
