Celebrating Christmas & Building a Bright Future for 2025
Merry Christmas and Warm Wishes for the Season
As we celebrate the joyous Christmas season, I want to take a moment to wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas. May this season of love, hope, and faith fill your hearts with peace and joy.
Gratitude for a Year of Dedication
This year, our Council has accomplished so much thanks to the unwavering dedication of our members and volunteers. To all who have contributed their time, talents, and energy, whether it’s organizing events, supporting fundraisers, or participating in community initiatives, thank you! Your hard work truly embodies the spirit of charity and fraternity that partly defines the Knights of Columbus.
Looking Ahead: Our 5-Year Plan
We have been hard at work developing a 5-year plan to guide the future of our Council. This plan holds many exciting possibilities, and we are eager to hear your ideas and suggestions as we shape our vision together. Over the coming months, the Executive team will share more details about these plans and how they will strengthen our Council’s impact.
Improving Communication: A New Monthly Newsletter
This message marks the next step of our renewed focus on communication. Starting now, we’ll be sharing a monthly newsletter to keep you informed about our activities, initiatives, and opportunities. In addition, we plan to launch a blog on our website as another way to connect with you. Our goal is to recreate the feeling and sharing from the old council newsletter that many speak of fondly.
We’re also seeking members to join our Communications Committee—if you’re interested, please reach out!
Calling All Volunteers: We Need Your Help!
We can’t do this alone! We’re seeking volunteers from all walks of life—Knights, spouses, other family members, friends, students, and community members. Our vision includes committees often of five, each led by a Knight, but open to everyone who wants to help. Volunteering is a rewarding way to give back, and we would love to see more people get involved. Soon we’ll have a section on our web site listing the opportunities we have.
Make a New Year’s Resolution to Join In
As you consider your resolutions for the New Year, I encourage you to resolve to get involved with the Knights in some way. Whether it’s helping with an event, attending a Fish Fry, or supporting a fundraiser, your participation matters. Many o four members help and participate in multiple events and roles, which is awesome! Imagine if virtually every member volunteered in one activity/role per year and attended one event…ideally with family and/or friends. Together, we can achieve incredible things for our community.
Re-Initiating and Creating New Programs
We are thrilled to restart beloved, and initiate new programs, for our members and community, including the Basketball Free Throw and the Faith of our Fathers program. Read more details here.
Welcome to Holy Family Parish
We are delighted to welcome Holy Family Parish into our group of churches. We look forward to growing our connection with the parish and its members as we work together to serve our community.
Thank You for Supporting the Toy Drive
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Toy Drive! From the Kitchener Rangers and Titans to the many organizations and volunteers involved, your efforts have made a real difference in the lives of children and families in need. This initiative continues to be a testament to the power of collective action.
Excitement for the Future
It is truly an honour to serve as your Grand Knight. I’m inspired by the enthusiasm and dedication of our members and volunteers, and I believe we have an incredible opportunity to grow and make an even greater impact. Let’s keep that excitement going, re-engage those who have stepped away, and welcome new members to join us.
Thank you for all that you do. Let’s make 2025 a year of faith, service, and community.
