January 2025 Grand Knight Message: Charity and Fraternity
As Knights, we are guided by the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. These values shape everything we do as a Council, and this message focuses on two in particular—charity and fraternity. By volunteering our time and talents, we embody the spirit of charity, helping those in need and supporting our community. At the same time, our events and programs allow us to grow in fraternity, strengthening the bonds between us as brothers. Together, let’s continue to live out these values and make a meaningful impact in 2025.
Volunteer now: Basketball Free Throw
As we begin the new year, we are gearing up for one of our most popular youth events—the Basketball Free Throw! To make this event a success, we need your help.
We need 5 volunteers from our council for the Basketball Free Throw competition on February 1st at 8:30 am, St David’s High School (meeting on January 24th at St. Marks). No basketball experience necessary! A valid police check (not older than 3 years) is needed – the is a quick online process that takes just a couple days to receive.
Contact David Haid at [email protected] to get involved.

Faith of Our Fathers: New Program
We’re excited to continue the Faith of Our Fathers on February 12th, a new program focused on faith and fellowship. This monthly gathering, held on the second Wednesday of each month, is open to all men who are members or guests. It’s an opportunity to grow in our faith, share meaningful conversations, and build stronger connections with one another.
The next session on February 12th at 7:00 pm will focus on the “year of the jubilee”. Our sessions are a casual discussion to help inform and build our faith.
Toy Drive Wrap-Up Celebration
Thank you for making this year’s Toy Drive season such a tremendous success! Your generosity and hard work helped bring joy to countless children and families. To celebrate, we’ll be hosting the Toy Drive Wrap-Up on January 27th with our supporters and volunteers at the Columbus Conference Centre.
